Waxahachie Talks Continue

Wednesday, July 19, 2017

On the 8th of July, members met in historic downtown Waxahachie Texas to discuss the possibility of TTC locating a future car barn/exhibit and demonstration streetcar line there. The discussion also included Waxahachie as a possible location for the official TTC headquarters and museum.

After the meeting, the group met a few blocks away at a proposed site for the car barn and rail line. Decisions are yet to be made, but those commenting were very favorable of the proposition. Positive reception from city officials and the local historical societies has yet to fully materialize, but members are still very hopeful and optimistic that local interest will be manifested and avail a positive outcome.

Members will meet again on August 5th (or 19th) in Waxahachie, Texas. At the time of the writing of this article, the location for the meeting has yet to be announced. Check our Events page for details.
